Hardware-CNC.nl is a Netherlands-based company that specializes in Centroid CNC retrofit upgrades sent us this photo of a custom CNC operator control panel utilizing the Centroid USB-BOB operator control panel breakout board which allows them to create custom CNC consoles for a wide variety of machine tools.

Craig elevates the functionality of the Centroid USB-BOB operator control panel breakout board with Analog to Digital Joystick control. Craig used a micro-controller to interpret the analog joy stick position signal to digital encoder pulses which in turn are fed into the Centroid USB-BOB’s MPG signal input connections which results in an impressive variable rate machine jogging joy stick control.

AvidCNC demonstrated its Centroid Acorn based CNC machine tools at the recent WITEA (Washington Industrial Technology Education Association) conference March 6-8 2025. There was a lot of interest in Avid's machines and in Centroid's safe and reliable control interface. Teachers loved the fact that these machines are used in actual manufacturing environments, so training on them can set their students up to be the next generation of machine programmers and operators.

CNC12 v5.30 Mill, Lathe, Router and Plasma has been released.
CNC12 v5.30 work with Acorn, AcornSix, Hickory, Allin1DC, Oak and MPU11 CNC control platforms.

Available at no charge, all previous license files file work with this new version of CNC12 software (in their respective categories: Acorn mill licenses work with Acorn mill, Oak lathe licenses work with Oak lathe CNC12, etc.)

Note: For Acorn/AcornSix/Hickory DO NOT use “restore report” with a report file from an earlier version of CNC12. Please Follow the installation and 'upgrade' instructions found on the downloads page.
