In development since March 7, 2025, this new version of CNC12 brings numerous enhancements including a major new feature upgrade to our existing Run Time Graphics (RTG): Real-Time Tool Path Backplotting Graphics.

The enhanced 5.4 RTG Feature set includes:

• Mill and Router: live, dynamic 3D graphics with:
  • rotation, panning, zoom in/out while running a job
• Lathe: live, dynamic 2D (Top-down XZ view) graphics with:
  • panning, zoom in/out while running a job
• Lathe Tool Indicator Vector matching with Tool Library
• Travel Limit, Material Size, and Work Envelope boxes
• Solid opacity option for Material Size, Travel Limits and Work Envelope boxes
• WCS Position, Current tool position
• Tool indicator diameter matches tool library diameter
• And other advanced display options

The new Centroid THC combines the proven TX transmission and RX receiver boards into one printed circuit board while adding features and retaining the advanced signal optical isolation. The new THC has been named the 'TRex' board. The TRex board is used for THC in both Plasma and Fiber Laser machines and is compatible with Acorn, AcornSix and Hickory CNC control platforms.

The TRex board accepts negative (Hypertherm, Lincoln, Everlast) and positive (Thermal Dynamics A series, Primeweld Gen 3 Cut60) divided torch voltage from plasma cutters as well as positive capacitance sensor output from fiber laser units. This new feature adds support for the often requested Thermal Dynamics A series plasma power supplies. TRex has two torch touch inputs: High and Low sensitivity for a wide variety of Ohmic touch off conditions. Now all on one printed circuit board with no optical cable needed the TRex design has also removed the need for a separate logic power supply reducing the number of parts and wiring.

Amongst all the Centroid CNC controller platforms (Acorn, AcornSix, Oak, Hickory, Allin1DC), the Centroid Allin1DC CNC controller continues to be a top-seller for owners of a wide variety of classic DC Servo motor based CNC machines that are aging out. Many owners have turned to the Allin1DC to breathe new life into their machines, improving performance and profitability.

The Allin1DC controller comes equipped with three state-of-the-art digital DC servo drives, designed specifically for DC axis servo motor control. It’s perfect for knee mills, bed mills, and lathes produced in the late 80s, 90s, and 2000s.

Centroid delivers on the EtherCAT promise of simplicity and performance with the Centroid Hickory CNC Control board!
